Discounts and Coupons Available to UT Employees

Admission tickets to area attractions are no longer sold through the university. However, Employee Relations provides a list of discounts for employees. These offers are varied and change often.

The discounts and coupons mentioned here may be obtained by visiting company websites or by calling or e-mailing the company contacts. Employees may obtain a copy of this list by calling Employee Relations at 974-5151 or by stopping by Room 230 of the Conference Center Building. We attempt to stay current with various offers. Discount policies of individual companies, however, may change with little or no notice. In the past, this has been particularly true of cell phone offers.

AAA of East Tennessee Motor Club

Corporate membership rates available to new and renewing AAA members. Contact: Scott Merritt at 862-9087 or smerritt@aaaet.com. General AAA information is available at http://www.aaaet.com.

Verizon

Verizon Wireless gives UT employees a 19 percent monthly access discount, 25 percent off accessories, free delivery of equipment to office or home, and special pricing of phones. AT&T

AT&T gives UT employees a 15 percent discount on rate plans of $39.99 or higher. The account must be in the name of the UT employee. Present your employee identification at a local retail store or go online to www.wireless.att.com/discounts. For online transactions, your UT e-mail address serves as employment verification. The account number for the UT discount is 2386605. Mention this number if you visit a retail location to ensure the correct discount is applied. Contact: Connie L. Sprint/Nextel

UT employees receive a 15 percent discount on monthly service from Sprint and Nextel. Visit www.evpdiscount.com/UT for details. Contact: 888-457-6294 weekdays or e-mail info@evpdiscount.com.

Knoxville Area Transit (KAT)*

Discount bus tickets available at the University Center Ticket Office. The regular KAT unlimited ride pass is currently $40 per month. This is a 50 percent discount on the regular cost per ride of $1.25. UT employees may obtain an unlimited pass, good for each semester (five months each), for $35; summer semester passes are $20. Knoxville YMCA/YWCA

Dish Network

Forest Ridge Apartment Homes

OAR (Outdoor Adventure Rafting), Chattanooga, Tennessee

Park Vista Resort Hotel, Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Pigeon Forge Value Card available at no charge. Various discounts at participating businesses in Pigeon Forge, including hotels, entertainment venues, restaurants and shopping. Valid until Feb. 28, 2009. Visit www.mypigeonforge.com or www.pfdiscount.com, or call 800-251-9100.

SeaWorld of Orlando and Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, Florida, and Williamsburg, Virginia

Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags White Water, Atlanta, Georgia

VIP Club 2008 membership card available at no charge. Good for discount on Six Flags adult ticket, $15 off each ticket. Applies to a maximum of 15 admissions ($4 off at White Water). Tennessee State Parks

Present UT identification card for up to 50% discount on use of lodging or camping facilities, October through May; up to 20% discount June through September.  Some variations may occur within individual parks. Universal Studios, Orlando, Florida

All discounts for Universal Studios are now handled via e-mail. Discounts on admission, merchandise, dining, and vacation packages. Also discounts from Hertz, Spencer Gifts, USAir, and many hotels and campgrounds in the Orlando area. Zoo Mommy

UT employees and students receive a 10 percent discount on various pet services including grooming, in-home care and boarding, exercise and social walks. Present university identification card. Visit www.zoomommy.com or call 329-7887.

Southland Log Homes

Discount of 5 percent on any log home from company’s Signature Series. Contact: Jason Kirby at 436-0605 or visit www.southlandloghomes.com.

Note

UT discounts are not available for the Gatlinburg Aquarium, or the Chattanooga Aquarium. However, the aquariums do offer discounts to AAA Auto Club members, and to senior citizens and students. You also can find aquarium discount coupons at the local visitors’ centers in Sevierville and Pigeon Forge.

Currently, UT employees have no discount privileges with Dollywood, the Dixie Stampede or the Biltmore. We suggest that if you visit these attractions, or other local vendors, mention to the managers that you are employed by UT and would appreciate consideration of a discount.

Disney has discontinued the Disney Club. No replacement program has yet been offered. Visit www.disney.com for possible online discounts (not specifically UT related)
