Coordination of Survivor Benefits
Employee Relations coordinates survivor benefits for employees, dependents,
and retirees of the university in the Knoxville area.
The coordination of benefits may include unpaid wages at the time of death and/or a monthly benefit payment, unused annual and sick leave, insurance, retirement, and other related benefits.
Departments and/or families should notify Employee Relations when a death has occurred.
