Send Roses Award

Send Roses Award recipients are employees who demonstrate outstanding courtesy and customer service. Each quarter, a new honoree is named. That person receives a framed certificate, a dozen roses, a dry-erase replica of The Rock, and a reserved parking spot on campus for one month.


All regular, full, and part-time UT staff and faculty are eligible. The nominee may be exempt or non-exempt. Any staff member, faculty member, student, or friend of the university may submit nominations.

Selection Criteria

The award is given to the employee who demonstrates outstanding courtesy and customer service skills. Customers are defined as students, parents, co-workers, faculty, staff, alumni, and the general public. Consideration is given to the following: job performance, work behaviors, initiative, and relationships with associates and other customers.

  • Nominations must be accompanied by a written description detailing the nominee’s exemplary performance. Award decisions are based solely on this description, so please provide plenty of detail.
