Temporary Help Positions

The temporary help pool is a wonderful way to get a foot in the door at UT. It allows individuals to contribute while learning how the university works and develop skills through a variety of assignments.

Retirees often find the temporary help pool is a great way to remain engaged with the university.

Here’s what one temporary employee had to say about their recent experience.

Janice Branch“The temporary help pool was an amazing experience. In the course of six months, I had the opportunity to work for five campus departments, which allowed me to get a feel for the culture here at UT and gave me a competitive edge once I received permanent employment. I am thankful to Natalie Johnson and the staff in Human Resources who helped me secure temporary work each and every time one of my contracts was to end. Because of the temporary help pool, I did not have any gaps in employment, and this program allowed me to search and secure a full-time opportunity that has been the perfect fit.”
