Resources for Leaders

The role of the leader is critical to the success of any telecommuting or remote work arrangement. We suggest you utilize the Work Location Decision Guide as you consider if there are roles in your unit that might be appropriate for some element of remote work. If you identify a role which is appropriate for such an arrangement, and your leadership has approved it, you may contact Human Resources (hrcompensation@utk.edu) for further support and assistance. Any long-term remote work arrangement requires a documented agreement, and HR can assist. You will also find below an extensive list of resources to help you effectively lead in a remote environment.
