LOD Programs

UConnecT

UConnecT is an inclusive, yearlong immersive leadership and professional development program.  The goal of UConnecT is to promote growth and development for our highly motivated non-exempt staff who have two years of continuous service. Learn more about the application process here.

University of Tennessee Inclusive Leadership Academy (UTILA)

The purpose of the UTILA is to provide a thoughtful and intentional learning experience that will equip leaders with the content knowledge, leadership behaviors, and support to effectively lead our diverse workforce and create a culture of inclusion. MBTI

Understand your personality type, learn about other personality types, and develop strategies to improve communication. Knowing your own preferences as well as your teammates can improve teamwork and compatibility.

DISC

The DISC assessment is similar to the MBTI in that it will build great self-awareness and team awareness. The DISC assessment focuses on observable behaviors in the areas of how you manage problems, how you influence people, the pace of your life/work, and how you interpret policy set by others.

CliftonStrengths

The CliftonStrengths talent assessment, based on the concept of intentionally developing your strengths rather than your weaknesses, identifies your Top 5 Signature Themes from a list of 34 talents. The strengths-based approach can improve departmental culture, enhance employee experience, and help your teams learn to work better together. Sessions are available for both staff and supervisors.

IDI

The Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) is the premier cross-cultural assessment of intercultural competence that is used by thousands of individuals and organizations to build intercultural competence to achieve international and domestic diversity and inclusion goals and outcomes. STRIDE for Staff

The purpose of STRIDE (Strategies and Tactics for Recruiting to Improve Diversity and Excellence) for Staff at UT is to revitalize our efforts to hire and retain a diverse staff and faculty by using peer-to-peer instruction about academic research on bias and diversity. STRIDE for Staff can help your team understand the importance of diversity and inclusion both in your department and on campus.
