STRIDE for Staff Course

STRIDE (Strategies and Tactics for Recruiting to Improve Diversity and Excellence) for Staff is a program designed to prepare UT staff to serve on a search committee.  STRIDE for Staff is modeled after STRIDE for Faculty which was created to revitalize efforts to hire and retain a diverse faculty.

The STRIDE for Staff sessions are coordinated by Learning and Organizational Development (LOD). STRIDE for Staff incorporates recent data on diversity and inclusion to analyze and interpret current UT employee demographics. The program also incorporates academic research on the effects of bias on search committees and the benefits of working in a diverse workplace.

Participants in STRIDE for Staff will leave knowing how they can increase the diversity of their workplace and will receive tips on how to create and maintain an inclusive workplace.
