Coaching

Coaching is available as a support strategy for all UT Leaders and Staff (clients) through the Learning and Organizational Development unit (coach). A coach can help our clients work through challenging situations by utilizing ongoing analysis, reflection, and action leading to growth.

Coaching FAQ:

What is Coaching?

Coaching is a thought-provoking and creative partnership between an HR Professional and an employee to provide structure and support for growth, development, and success in all facets of work life.

Coach and Client Roles

Coaching is about change. The client’s role is to create the time and energy to participate fully in the process, which includes making time for coaching sessions, engaging in self-reflection and accountability for attending sessions, and completing follow-up reflection, exploration, and actions.

The coach’s role is to listen, challenge, and support you to gain perspective, clarity, and develop strategies for overcoming barriers, navigating change, engaging others, and increasing your confidence and impact.

What are some areas for Coaching?

Coaching can help with leadership development, leadership effectiveness, leadership transition, or working through a personally challenging situation or conversation. We can help you get “unstuck” and explore new thinking and solutions. Whatever is keeping you up at night may be a reason to engage in coaching. No situation is too small.
